About me
Anu is a Senior Leader in the Network Security Technical Marketing Engineering team at Cisco. In this role within the Security Business Group, she and her team work with the Engineering, Sales and Product management teams to build and improve products like the Cisco Firewall, Cisco Multicloud Defense, Hypershield and the Cisco Workload. Previously, she was a leader with the Cisco Customer Experience Professional Services team.
She has more than 14 years of experience, with majority of the years spent as an Security engineer in Cisco TAC and Professional Services team, where she worked on troubleshooting, designing, optimising and implementing networks in addition to building trusted advisor relationships with the customers. She has created multiple technical articles on various Security topics, most of which can be found on cisco.com.
Anu has been a speaker at various industry forums such as the COMSNETS IEEE conference, Grace Hopper conference of India(GHCI), Cisco Live and other internal Security conferences. The topics presented include Cloud security, Next Generation Firewalls, Email security and various technology trends. She is extremely passionate about encouraging diversity in every space. She has mentored women engineers through multiple internal mentoring channels and externally through NASSCOM’s WW2RT(Women Wizards Rule Tech) initiative.
She is part of the core team for the Women in Technology chapter within Cisco and previously, led and grew the Cisco Women in Cybersecurity(CWiCS) chapter in India. She holds a CCIE certification in Security.
Anu resides in Bangalore with her husband and daughter, is an avid traveller and is a big Marvel/Star Wars/DC fan!
