About me
Dr. Neenu Garg is a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Edinburgh, since 2023, specialising in privacy-preserving communication networks and secure key transparency protocols for interoperable end-to-end encrypted systems. Before this, she served as an Assistant Professor at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology since 2018, where she taught courses in Operating Systems, Object-Oriented Programming, and Cloud Computing. Dr. Garg holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science. She had worked as a software engineer in Aricent Technologies prior to Thapar.
Dr. Garg's research includes integrating metadata privacy into networked applications and designing secure communication protocols. She is a key contributor to REPHRAIN project, a UKRI-funded interdisciplinary Research Centre of Excellence, led by the University of Bristol in collaboration with UCL, Bath, King’s College London, and Edinburgh. Her research interests include cloud computing, information security, cryptography. She is passionate about supporting women in STEM and breaking barriers in academia and technology.
